Tickets Now on Sale for SMART Modified Tripleheader at North Wilkesboro Speedway
The Oct. 17 short-track racing event will feature the SMART Modified Tour championship finale along with Carolina Crate Modified and Carolina Mini-Stock races.

NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. — Tickets are now on sale for the SMART Modified Tour tripleheader coming to North Wilkesboro Speedway on Saturday, Oct. 17.
General ticket sales opened Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m. EDT. The event is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. on Oct. 17 at the historic five-eighths-mile North Wilkesboro Speedway.
Three Races Set for North Wilkesboro
The fall event will bring three divisions of short-track racing to North Wilkesboro.
The headline event is the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic Friendly Tire 99, which will serve as the tour’s championship finale.
The Carolina Crate Modified Series Northwest Automotive 62 will also compete, along with the Carolina Mini-Stocks Broadway Collision 30 presented by Better Homes Furniture Company.
Ryan Newman Scheduled to Race
NASCAR veteran Ryan Newman is among the drivers scheduled to compete in the SMART Modified event.
Newman has extensive experience in Modified racing in addition to his NASCAR career and is one of the headline names currently announced for the October event.
The speedway has also announced that Carter McMurray, son of 2010 Daytona 500 winner Jamie McMurray, is scheduled to compete in the Carolina Crate Modified Series race.
More Than Racing
The seventh annual Moonshiners & Racer’s Reunion is also scheduled as part of the Oct. 17 event.
The reunion celebrates the history surrounding stock-car racing and its roots in the region, adding another attraction for fans attending the fall race weekend.
Tickets, Camping and Premium Options
North Wilkesboro Speedway is offering general admission tickets for the event, along with trackside camping and Turn 4 premium ticket options.
According to the speedway, kids can attend for $10. The speedway’s event page currently provides purchasing options for Saturday tickets, trackside camping for Oct. 16-18 and Turn 4 premium seating.
Trackside camping packages include a 20-by-40-foot campsite in the Turn 3 camping area and four general-admission tickets.
Turn 4 premium tickets include an elevated view of the track, a grill-style menu and two non-alcoholic beverages, with a cash bar also available.
Another Major Fall Race for Wilkes County
The Oct. 17 event gives Wilkes County another major racing weekend at North Wilkesboro Speedway following the track’s expanded schedule of NASCAR and short-track events.
The SMART Modified championship also continues the speedway’s renewed role as a destination for grassroots racing alongside its NASCAR events.
